BER CERTIFICATE

As you are aware, since January 1st 2009 it has been compulsory for all homes offered for sale to have a Building Energy Rating [BER] Certificate.

These Building Energy Ratings are valid for 10 years unless there is a change in the energy performance in the property due to measures implemented in the interim.

The penalty for non-compliance with these regulations is a fine of up to €5000.00 and therefore we encourage all vendors to ensure that their property has a valid BER certificate.

Should you require a BER Certificate for your property we at Kelly Bradshaw Dalton can arrange to have a registered BER Assessor carry out an inspection of your property and issue a certificate.

Along with the BER certificate, you will also receive an Advisory Report which will help you to identify how you might improve the energy performance of your property.
